Racing SA COVID-19 FAQs

COVIDThrough careful management and with the understanding and cooperation of all South Australian thoroughbred racing industry participants, racing has managed to keep operating safely and successfully throughout the pandemic.

Racing SA – in conjunction with all 25 metropolitan, provincial and regional clubs across South Australia, has introduced COVID-19 vaccination requirements for all patrons and industry participants wishing to access a Thoroughbred racing venue, as of 20 December 2021.

The requirement means anyone aged 16 and over intending to enter any South Australian Thoroughbred racing venue for any purpose from 20 December 2021 will need to demonstrate that they have had at least their first dose of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved vaccine.

COVID-19 digital certificates or immunisation history statements may be checked at venue entry points, or by COVID marshals on site during spot checks.

Proof of double vaccination will be required prior to entry from 20 January 2022.
