RACE 1 - 12:07PM Terry Howe Printing Handicap (1300 METRES)

JACKS ON ICE won his debut at KI before a very good effort here last week running 2nd behind Max Fire at Balaklava. That form held-up in stronger company on Cup Day, he gets the claim and has been solid since markets opened. PRINCESS RAFFLES should be the improver here second-up. Her two-year-old form was very good, her first-up run was OK and getting out to 1300m looks ideal for her. GARRIRE is a winner here and didn’t have a lot of luck at Balaklava first-up from a spell. He should get the perfect run from barrier three and gets in very well after the claim.

SELECTIONS: 1 JACKS ON ICE, 5 Princess Raffles, 4 Garrire, 3 Battle Award

PLAY: Happy to watch on.

RACE 2 - 12:47PM Adelaide Racing Carnival - April 30th -May 21st Handicap (1400 METRES)

Keen on CROWN MINT here second-up. He caught the eye behind Munster at Murray Bridge when he should have finished a lot closer, if not won. He gets some weight relief with the claim and getting to 1400m is a big plus. AMBIDAZZLE has a great record here with a win and five placings from her eight starts. She maps well from the barrier and should be thereabouts. HE’S EXCLUSIVE could be an improver here. His Victorian form was OK and before battling first-up in SA behind Munster when he raced on speed and did get squeezed up late. UNLACED hasn’t raced since mid-December and was a winner here beating Ice Ghost two starts back. RUBBLE was well ridden to beat Fields Of Ivy last week and draws well. THINK WINNING has had the two runs here in SA but showed improvement in a recent Balaklava trial. CARRY THE MUSKET has upside but may need it further.

SELECTIONS: 1 CROWN MINT, 7 Ambidazzle, 4 He’s Exclusive, 6 Unlaced

PLAY: Keen on CROWN MINT.

RACE 3 - 1:22PM The Junction Handicap (1000 METRES)

Tricky race with a couple of chances resuming. DARING MOVE had market support beating subsequent winner Finch ‘N’ Chips at Balaklava on debut before running a nice race behind the handy Magic Max here last week. She draws a middle barrier and has fitness on her side. RISING LEGEND was impressive beating Totally Discreet here in November and followed with a solid effort running 2nd behind Arran Bay. He draws well and must be respected. JAAZEB is another with fitness on her wide and ran well behind the smart Mac ‘N’ Cheese at Morphettville on Monday. That should be a good form line. VALAROC draws well and was a Port Lincoln winner in October, likewise DUSTIN DHAHRAN broke his maiden at Port Lincoln three starts back.

SELECTIONS: 6 DARING MOVE, 3 Rising Legend, 2 Jaazeb, 4 Valaroc

PLAY: Another race I’m happy to sit out.

RACE 4 - 2:02PM Fleurieu Milk Company Maiden Plate (1250 METRES)

Wide open race. DAUNTLESS could be an improver here. She was in the market at Flemington on debut, went to Stawell and had market support to run favourite before she was plain at Ararat. She gets the blinkers on for the first time, draws an inside barrier and this does look her race to improve. FAMOUS PRINCE chased home Calla Dream at Strathalbyn on debut and didn’t have a lot of luck behind Two Times Twice at Murray Bridge last start. He draws a middle gate and should be thereabouts. LONDRES was placed behind Sadler’s Song and then showed speed to lead when 5th behind Race Against Time at Morphettville. He resumes here and must be respected. SOUTHERN SWOOP draws wide but has shown ability and resumes, SIX FOOT SONG hasn’t been far away and BYWATERS ROAD ran well behind The Magistrate at Balaklava first-up.

SELECTIONS: 10 DAUNTLESS, 2 Famous Prince, 8 Londres, 11 Southern Swoop

PLAY: Something small on DAUNTLESS at the price.

RACE 5 - 2:37PM Accolade Wines Handicap (1000 METRES)

Hot race with some real speed. ALL BANTER has a very good record here with three wins and two placings from her five starts around the Parks. She won well first up and was game in a stronger race in Melbourne last time when beaten less than a length behind Malkovich in the Hoystead. She draws a nice gate and will take some running down. There could be pressure from out wide with SPANISH HEIRLOOM who also loves to roll on speed and was a Gawler winner before she led and was cut down late by Brimarvi Vehero. I like SMOKIN’ VAL in a race like this. She raced well through the spring and went for a short break after beating Little Rich Boy on the outer track. She maps well and has plenty of upside. BRIMARVI VEHERO is another who should settle off the speed and was good beating Spanish Heirloom here two starts back but was average last time on his home track behind Larimer Street.

SELECTIONS: 1 ALL BANTER, 7 Smokin’ Val, 3 Brimarvi Vehero, 6 Spanish Heirloom

PLAY: SMOKIN’ VAL should get a perfect run on a hot speed.

RACE 6 - 3:22PM Grand Syndicates - Race with Team Grand Handicap (1550 METRES)

Sticking with LAKE’S FOLLY who deserved his win here last week. He didn’t have things his own way covering ground but was strong on the line. He gets in OK with the 3kg claim and should get a good run in transit, he’ll just need some racing room late. Stablemate PRINCE OF FENCES is the one punters have stepped into early. He won his maiden at Strathalbyn in very easy fashion before a good effort behind Sanblas at Murray Bridge. He draws a nice gate and has solid appeal. RAPID RAISER is going along quite well and his two runs back from spell have been solid. He might be better suited on the bigger track. BLAH BLAH BLAH races well on the Parks and was a winner here two starts back but has a wide barrier to overcome. SMART PROMISE ran well when 4th behind Lake’s Folly here last week, CAPRICORN RIDGE scored back in class last time and draws awkwardly.

SELECTIONS: 1 LAKE’S FOLLY, 3 Prince Of Fences, 6 Rapid Raiser, 5 Blah Blah Blah

PLAY: Staying with LAKE’S FOLLY, something the place RAPID RAISER.

RACE 7 - 4:02PM Furphy Handicap (2250 METRES)

COMFORT GIRL looked the winner second-up when she worked into the clear but just couldn’t run down the winner. Her first-up run was very good, but the jump from 1550m to 2250m second-up may have a been a bridge too far. She is fitter again and sure to take some beating. WEST CLIFF is racing well. His latest behind Robe Raider at Strathalbyn was good but he does draw a sticky gate. EXALTED AMBITION can improve. He was plain behind Art Major last week but was first-up at 2250m and the stable can turn them around quickly. ALL HARD WOOD stuck on well in the same race, likewise did REX GOLIATH who has been racing well.

SELECTIONS: 8 COMFORT GIRL, 7 West Cliff, 1 Exalted Ambition, 3 All Hard Wood

PLAY: Backing COMFORT GIRL again.

RACE 8 - 4:42PM Ian Hay's 60th Handicap (1000 METRES)

Good race and keen to see APPALACHIAN back at the races. He has been kept fresh since beating Kishstar at Murray Bridge in early January and will give this a big shake. LARKHAM is going super and he loves the Parks where he’s won five races. He dead-heated with Bleriot last week and should give this a shake with some luck from the barrier. STARSPANGLED SAGA is up in class but draws well and can run a big race here. TANJA’S DREAM has won here and is a horse who likes to roll on speed.

SELECTIONS: 2 APPALACHIAN, 1 Larkham, 8 Starspangled Saga, 6 Tanja’s Dream

PLAY: Keen on APPALACHIAN.

RACE 9 - 5:30PM Weslo Security Handicap (1250 METRES)

Tough end to the day. Going to give YEELANNA another chance. She was perfectly ridden to score two starts back from a good gate and then showed speed and was still in the race on the corner after her saddle had shifted. She weighed in light and was subsequently disqualified after finishing on the heels of the placegetters and has claims again. SHELLSHOCKED was OK in the race won by Larkham and Bleriot last week and maps to get a nice run here. KAYSERI is another who draws awkwardly and has been in the money and four of six starts here on the Parks. ALL IMPORTANT led in the race won by Love Magic and can give another bold sight here. RIALTOR draws to run a good race on speed from the barrier. HE WILL BOOM was a Murray Bridge winner two starts back before winning again at KI. GRANDMA GAIL is racing well but draws wide.

SELECTIONS: 11 YEELANNA, 6 Shellshocked, 2 Kayseri, 4 All Important

PLAY: Giving YEELANNA another go each-way.
