Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: TANKER (Race 3)

EACH-WAY: TOFF LOVE (Race 5)

VALUE: ICECRUSHER (Race 9)

RACE 1 - 10:35AM Dare & Johnson Handicap (1200 METRES)

ANOTHER AWARD is a smart filly who was placed behind the smart Instant Celebrity in the Listed Oaklands Plate before another good run behind Promoter at Murray Bridge. She’s jumped out quite nicely for her return, should get a gun run from the inside gate and looks good value in a small field. BRIBERY was placed in the Cinderella Stakes, then again in the Magic Millions race in SA. She was solid in the Breeders Stakes and then down the track behind Ringbolt in the Group 3 Sires last time. She’s trialled nicely for her return and is a definite winning hope. MRS MOURINHO was good winning back in class at Strathalbyn before a good run when second behind THE BIG GOODBYE here who has never missed a cheque in six runs but meets him worse at the weights.

SELECTIONS: ANOTHER AWARD, Bribery, Mrs Mourinho

RACE 2 - 11:05AM Jack & Cotts joint Buck Show Two-Year-Old Plate (1100 METRES)

Plenty of unknowns here with five of the seven on debut and all look to have ability. The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace team have two debutants here who both stepped out at the Werribee trials on January 12. DECENT RAINE won her trial stylishly with SMART ACE finishing sixth, but was only beaten 2.7 lengths. GOSDEN is on debut for Will Clarken and looked forward enough in a recent Strathalbyn jump-out to give this a shake. Likewise there was plenty to like about Travis Doudle’s BROTHER’S SHADOW who did everything right to win a recent jump-out and he draws the inside. Of the two to race GARRIRE stuck to his task very nicely on debut beaten just three lengths behind Saasmit who looks a smart type. He draws a good gate and sure to be right in the mix. UP THE LANE only battled on debut.

SELECTIONS: DECENT RAINE, Gosden, Brother’s Shadow

RACE 3 - 11:35AM Coopers Brewery Handicap (1712 METRES)

TANKER showed plenty in his first season winning a Debutant Stakes at Caulfield and contesting some hot 2YO races like the Blue Diamond. He was good at The Valley two starts back, draws a sticky gate but gets into this well with the claim for Lachie Neindorf. MAGNETIC EDGE draws the inside and has been racing well this campaign. He looks the main danger to the favourite. MOTELL looks nicely suited here from a good gate. He was a Morphettville winner back in class and made ground behind Unlaced last time. MEADOWS YOUNG BUCK will ride the speed here from the good gate. He won at Murray Bridge and Morphettville before sticking on well behind Von Costa Glass there last time.

SELECTIONS: TANKER, Magnetic Edge, Motell

RACE 4 - 12:05PM Gawler Hi-Beam Carwash Bung Fritz Cup (1506 METRES)

LA RICHESSE is an interesting runner. She is very good when she can dominant the race on speed like she did first-up at Murray Bridge beating Issara. This does look harder but she has the inside gate and no weight on her back with the claim for Lachie Neindorf. DIPLOMATIC MEASURE is three from three first-up and has two trials under his belt for his return. He draws a good barrier and will no doubt be primed for this. GALAHAD GURU has won three of his past five and was too good for The Red Sea here last time but drops sharply in trip. HANKSTAR was very good at Murray Bridge last week. He cruised into the race on the corner and was strong through the line. He draws out but is sure to be right in the mix. FAST PLAN ran well first-up for the Sue and Jason Jaensch stable at Bordertown and can run a cheeky race second-up from good barrier.

SELECTIONS: LA RICHESSE, Diplomatic Measure, Fast Plan

RACE 5 - 12:36PM Thank You Trevor Wuttke Handicap (1100 METRES)

TOFF LOVE won well second-up for David Jolly at Murray Bridge in June beating Defiant Dancer who has gone on with it since. He looked very good in a recent Strathalbyn jump-out and is sure to put himself right in the action from barrier two – and does boast a win and placing from three first-up runs previously. TAKEN OFF was very good winning here last time when a $2.45 favourite. He maps well from barrier four, the only concern is back in trip here to the 1100m. LA VITA flies fresh and landed some good bets to win at Morphettville in November. Her next two runs were solid. She’s been freshened for this and has a win and three placings from six starts here. MISS JANE is another who races very well here with two wins from four starts and she boxed on well behind Street Life last time. Blinkers go on for the first time. VALENTINA STAR has been good at both runs in SA for Nicole Bruggerman, beaten 1.2 lengths behind Lake’s Folly first-up and then another solid effort behind Can’tforgetyou at Murray Bridge. LITTLE RICH BOY will be handy to the speed from a good barrier and he boxed on OK behind Calypso Reign at Murray Bridge last week.

SELECTIONS: TOFF LOVE, Taken Off, La Vita

RACE 6 - 1:11PM Adelaide Star Bus Handicap (1200 METRES)

FOUR OF A KIND has been racing in solid form and deserved her win coming from off the speed to beat Our Deep Agenda last time. She’s won three of five here and looks a major player again. PHYLA VELL is the watch here first-up for David Jolly. She’s a handy mare who usually pits herself in her races and is sure to give them something to chase first-up on the back of a nice jump-out. COTILLION caught the eye, making good ground from a long way back behind Second Slip at Murray Bridge last time. She gets into this well with the claim and looks to have some each-way appeal. There are a host of locals who deserve some thought. REGINA DEL DRAMMA is back from a successful Port Lincoln campaign and draws a good gate, while KHANI STAR has a good record on her home track and she won well back in class last time. BUBBLES MCGINTY had specking last time behind La Richesse at Murray Bridge and ARTIC BLAZE is going well and draws the inside.

SELECTIONS: FOUR OF A KIND, Cotillion, Phyla Vell

RACE 7 - 1:46PM 4 Way Fresh Produce Handicap (1200 METRES)

BOLT I AM was good first up from a spell, making ground late behind Can’tforgetyou and drops sharply in class here, aided by the claim for Maggie Collett. This looks a winnable race and he is an attractive price in early markets. PROMOTER was saved from Murray Bridge last week in preference to this. He was well tried on debut when he didn’t handle the Parks circuit before winning well on his home track. He’s fresh, drawn perfectly and the stable is flying. EXALTED TRAVELLER has won two of his past four but was only fair back in trip last time. He’s back further in trip here but draws a good gate. MAY BE FATE was runner-up behind Call Me Shamus and Lake’s Folly before getting back and struggling to make an impression behind Taken Off here last time. FRENCH ROCK has been placed at four of six starts here and usually runs well fresh.

SELECTIONS: BOLT I AM, Promoter, May Be Fate

RACE 8 - 2:21PM Members of Bung Fritz Society Handicap (1100 METRES)

ULTIMATE VICTORY was a good winner first-up and then ran OK behind Exalted Gold. He was slow into stride before finishing off well behind The Big Goodbye last time out and that form should hold up pretty well here. Blinkers go on for the first time. FEARLESS VISION was a winner on the Parks track back in September and ran well when third behind Mrs Hyde there before a break. She was favourite first-up when she got a mile back and worked through the line OK behind Fabulous Flipper. She draws a better gate and can atone. CIRCUS DANCER has been around the mark, winning at Strathalbyn three starts back and wasn’t disgraced in a stronger race last time. ROSE TIARA was favourite last start and led when seventh behind Vindex. She draws well but needs to lift. DAMASCUS MOMENT draws a wide gate but stuck on well on speed behind Lake’s Folly last time. I AM IMPINGE has a handy first-up record and looked good winning a recent Strathalbyn jump-out easily. EXALTED GOLD was a good winner this track and trip two starts back before battling on OK behind Fabulous Flipper last time. There is a slight question mark surrounding the form out of that race.

SELECTIONS: ULTIMATE VICTORY, Fearless Vision, I Am Impinge

RACE 9 - 3:01PM Ultratune / Kingsford Hotel Handicap (1506 METRES)

Open race to finish the daw but happy to have something on ICECRUSHER each-way. She won well first-up and then her effort behind Dazzling Damsel two starts back in a strong race was solid enough. She again worked through the line pretty well in a leader-dominated race behind La Richesse last time. She has plenty of weight but out in trip and gets another chance. MAGIC DEE was impressive at Strathalbyn last time when she sat off the speed and powered away to win by five lengths. She’s down in the weights here and is racing in career-best form. She’s sure to take some beating. THE SIDEKICK could be an improver here third-up for Will Clarken. He draws a good barrier and is certainly good enough in a race like this. ISSARA was a Morphettville winner back in November and her recent efforts have been solid. She stuck on well at a big price behind La Richesse last time and has claims with no weight on her back. TOMB RAIDER is going to give them something to chase here from barrier two. He led when only reeled in late behind Li’l Hank last time. LEONARDA is racing well back in class and must be respected despite a poor gate. AUSSIE SOJOURN has a handy record here and can run into the multiples, likewise GALCRUM goes well here on his home deck and draws a good barrier.

SELECTIONS: ICECRUSHER, Magic Dee, The Sidekick
