Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: THE DIFFERENCE (Race 7)

EACH-WAY: FEARLESS VISION (Race 8)

VALUE: RESURGE (Race 6)

RACE 1 - 12:26PM Happy Birthday Peter 'Slugga' Chapman 3YO Benchmark 64 Handicap (Heat 6 Rebel Raider) (1250 METRES)

Impossible not to be impressed by QUIETLY DISCREET, who sped to the lead and gave nothing a look in last week. She’s short at $1.55 in early markets but it’s hard to find one to beat her. GREAT LEVELLER was a good return behind Mileva here, beat home QUIETLY DISCREET first-up and appears the danger, while MACCABEE draws a nice gate and has the blinkers on. Watch QUIETLY DISCREET's last start win here.

SELECTIONS: QUIETLY DISCREET, Great Leveller, Maccabee

RACE 2 - 1:01PM Adelaide Galvanising Special Conditions 2MW-LY Handicap (1550 METRES)

I tipped REGALO DI GAETANO first-up and liked his run, making good ground behind Alsvior. He jumps straight from 1200m to 1550m and is helped by the claim. SIGN OF USSURI won consecutive races at Murray Bridge and Morphettville in June before finishing runner-up behind Analytica and Exalted Ruth. He was no match for stablemate The Difference here last time and will really appreciate getting out to a mile, but has come up short at $1.85. I’d probably prefer to take the $3.70 for REGALO DI GAETANO. CHAROSSA draws a nice gate and does go well second-up. This is somewhere near his preferred distance range. ANDREA MANTEGNA is racing very well but back sharply in distance. Watch REGALO DI GAETANO's last run here.

SELECTIONS: REGALO DI GAETANO, Sign Of Ussuri, Charossa

RACE 3 - 1:36PM Chapel Hill / SABOIS Three-Year-Old Benchmark 72 Handicap (Amended) (1550 METRES)

Interesting race. SO YOU CAN has some X-factor and is back from Melbourne, while the red-hot Michael Hickmott stable has three runners: TRIDENT, TALAMO and debutant OATH OF OMERTA. So You Can was good, sitting off the speed to win here, before battling at Listed level in Melbourne. He draws perfectly and deserves to be favourite. TALAMO was very impressive at his Australian debut, beating Club Double. TRIDENT got a long way back and made some ground behind Midships here last week. OATH OF OMERTA jumped out at Murray Bridge, running third alongside Talamo on September 11. THE OLYMPIAN hit back to win well at Murray Bridge last time; this is harder but he draws a nice gate and the 1550m should suit. Watch SO YOU CAN's latest win here.

SELECTIONS: SO YOU CAN, Talamo, The Olympian

RACE 4 - 2:11PM Schweppes Four-Year-Old & Over Benchmark 64 Handicap (Amended) (1550 METRES)

Not a huge amount of depth here and looks an ideal race for SADENTE. She was impressive when coming from a long way back to win here three starts back before a good run behind Skilled Bunch. After that she again came from a long way back and beat all but The Ant’s Pants at Murray Bridge last time. She draws a nice gate and the small field suits. GALAHAD GURU is the danger and out to the mile ticks a lot of boxes for him. He got back and was doing his best work late behind Lord Vladivostok last time. The inside gate might be a worry. EXALTED TRAVELLER is going well and led them up before being overhauled by the in-form Pearl Bandit last week. Exalted Traveller is placed four of nine on this track and can run a cheeky race. RITRATTO gets out from 1200m to the mile and is a winner second-up. Watch SADENTE's last start second here.

SELECTIONS: SADENTE, Galahad Guru, Exalted Traveller

RACE 5 - 2:51PM Dominant Special Conditions 3MW-LY Handicap (1000 METRES)

Really good race. PARSIFAL is the class factor; he hasn’t raced since a slightly disappointing campaign in the autumn. He was chasing home the likes of Diamond Effort, Gytrash and Behemoth, who would all be long odds-on favourites in a race like this. Parsifal looked good at a recent Morphettville jump-out, won his only start here and handles soft – all big ticks. The fact they’ve elected not to claim must mean he’s forward enough in condition to win. STREETCAR STRANGER is a promising sprinter. His run in the Lightning behind Parlophone was excellent and he backed that up to handle rivals easily last time – but this is a step up in class. STAR HILLS is going super and has won his past three. He’s a horse who also loves some give in the ground. BRIMARVI VEHERO has done nothing wrong this campaign and has two wins and four seconds from seven start here on the Parks track. He chased home Seemingly Discreet last time which is solid form for this. MR BROWN FOX ran really well here behind STREETCAR STRANGER last time, while CELTIC BLAST stuck on well last time out.

SELECTIONS: PARSIFAL, Streetcar Stranger, Brimarvi Vehero

RACE 6 - 3:31PM Spring Racing Carnival at Morphettville - Oct. 10 - Nov. 3 Benchmark 76 Handicap (2250 METRES)

Handy field of in-form stayers. TATALINA gets her chance after she was narrowly beaten by ACE OF CLUBS here last time. She’s drawn perfectly down on the minimum and out to a preferred distance. ACE OF CLUBS is going super and was brave in defeat after doing all the work when carting the field up behind a tearaway leader last week. HASTA LA FIORENTE has been placed at his past three but is finding it hard to win. RESURGE draws a good gate, was doing his best work late behind Darlamax last week and looks the value in the race a double figure odds. BERTWHISTLE is going super but has plenty of weight, even after the claim for Sophie Logan. DR DEPENDABLE led and was run down last time. He’s going to be in the thick of the action from the inside gate. John Hickmott’s pair of FLOW METER and CLASSY JOE are both racing in great form. Watch TATALINA's last start second here.

SELECTIONS: TATALINA, Ace Of Clubs, Resurge

RACE 7 - 4:11PM TAB/ATA TRAINERS’ TRUST Benchmark 72 Handicap (1300 METRES)

Another good race, but it was hard not to be impressed by THE DIFFERENCE last start, when he showed a very good turn of speed to race over the top of rivals. He’s back to Adelaide after being scratched at the gates at Bendigo late week, has drawn perfectly and is clear top pick. JACOBITE PRINCE is another who would be loving this rain, with four wins from five starts on slow going. He’s three wins from six starts this track and was too good for Kingson last time out. This is harder, but he looks a major threat. ARKHAM KNIGHT would have been sitting at home lapping up the Adelaide rain. He was scratched from last week’s Wylie hoping for these conditions. He’s got plenty of weight but is the horse best suited on soft going. ALSVIOR has won three of his past four and has a win and a second from three starts this track and trip. He was too good for Dexelation and Arkham Knight last time out. SILVERHAWK was a dual winner in town in August in weaker races than his, but is capable and also versatile. Watch THE DIFFERENCE's last start win here.

SELECTIONS: THE DIFFERENCE, Arkham Knight, Jacobite Prince

RACE 8 - 4:46PM AAMI Benchmark 58 Handicap (1000 METRES)

Interesting race and FEARLESS VISION is a watch, having her first run as a three-year-old. She wasn’t beaten far behind Forever Free in the Queen Adelaide earlier in the year and has blinkers going on for the first time. The three horses at the top of the weights all have handy form on rain-affected tracks. MAGIC PHANTOM loves the wet and is three from four on heavy tracks. AADELAD beat AKKACAN here two runs back on a soft track, but Akkacan draws out which could be advantageous late in the day. BEEOKAY is hard to catch but draws to get a good run. GROOT has been favourite at his past three in Victoria, draws well, is suited with the claim, but would be best suited on an improving track. CARTIER TIARA ran really well behind Gougers at a price last time. ANAMNESIS has been going only fairly, but is down in the weights and has won three of seven on a heavy track if this track starts chopping up late. READY SUNSHINE is another who could bob up at a price. Watch FEARLESS VISION's latest run here.

SELECTIONS: FEARLESS VISION, Aadelad, Akkacan

RACE 9 - 5:27PM Furphy Benchmark 62 Handicap (1250 METRES)

DAWN SALUTE was good behind Gougers last time, draws a nice gate and Todd Pannell jumps back on. He was a good winner on a soft track at his previous outing and deserves to be favourite in a moderate race. WOUNDED SOLDIER has been racing well and boasts two wins and a third from four starts on this track. He’s drawn out but looks the logical danger to the favourite if there is one. RICH AND RARE comes here on the back of some moderate Victorian form but is fitter for two runs back and looks ready to improve. ROHLON DRUNK loves the sting out of the ground and can measure up. Watch DAWN SALUTE's latest win here.

SELECTIONS: DAWN SALUTE, Wounded Soldier, Rich And Rare
