08/04/2011 2012 ADELAIDE CUP DATE CONFIRMED

Thoroughbred Racing SA and the South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC) have confirmed the date for the 2012 Adelaide Cup.

The 2012 race will be held on the Adelaide Cup public holiday on Monday March 12^th.

Please note that Thoroughbred Racing SA Limited is closing the day of acceptances for Metropolitan Saturday meetings effective from 1st February 2011 until further notice.

20/10/2010 New Chair, Deputy for Thoroughbred Racing SA

Frances Nelson QC has been elected as the new Chair of Thoroughbred Racing SA at a meeting of Directors immediately following yesterday’s Annual General Meeting at Allan Scott Park Morphettville.

Simon Ward was elected Deputy Chair, with both appointments being made unanimously. The new Directors of Thoroughbred Racing SA are Ken Smith, David Cross and Brian Foster who replace outgoing Chairman Philip Bentley and retiring Directors Greg Boulton and Andrew Killey.
