TRSA Bushfire Appeal
We are bringing the racing community together through a number of fundraising and support initiatives for bushfire impacted communities, with all proceeds going to key South Australian relief efforts.
TRSA are proud to announce that nearly $52,000 has been raised and will be donated to communities impacted by the recent bushfires.
Thank you to the racing community who have been giving so generously.
Adelaide Cup Commemorative Stubby Holder
TRSA in partnership with Morphettville have produced a 150th Adelaide Cup Commemorative Stubby Holder. The design features last year’s winner Surprise Baby, champion trainer Bart Cummings who trained 4 Cup winners & John Letts who piloted the most Adelaide Cup winners, with 3.
They will be available for $10 on Adelaide Cup Day - with all proceeds going to the TRSA Bushfire Appeal Fund.
Launched on Wednesday 22 January, the auction featured money can’t buy experiences, racing memorabilia and more, thanks to generous donations from friends of the racing community.
Auction items included an exclusive lunch and behind the scenes tour of Morphettville with Clare Lindop, VIP media experiences, Womadelaide tickets and Adelaide Oval corporate suite tickets - just to name a few.
TRSA would like to thank all those who doanted items to the auction and to those who generously bidded on the items, over $10,000 was raised through the auction.
Jockey Silks Donation
Spanning across 19 race meetings (approx. 150 races), beginning with a race day hosted by Oakbank Racing Club on Wednesday 22 January, and finishing at Kangaroo Island Cup Day on Saturday 22 February, TRSA will donate $500 to the SA Bushfire Appeal for each win by a horse carrying the rider wearing branded Bushfire Appeal silks.
Over the 19 race meetings there were 20 wins by a horse carrying the rider wearing branded Bushfire Appeal silks - meaning TRSA will donate $10,000 to those affected by the recent bushfires.
