A sunny autumn day helped Clare continue to build on the popularity of its Easter Saturday race meeting, with an estimated 8,000 people passing through the gates.

Shuttle buses ran from throughout the Clare Valley to the course where racegoers enjoyed everything from a three-course meal in a marquee to their own picnic, all washed down with an ocean of refreshments.
