Roxby Downs Outback Cup

First Race: 11.00am

Join in the fun of the most remote race meet in South Australia. The Roxby Downs Outback Cup cobines the best of the outback with the excitement of the races.

Racing

Interstate and Metropolitan races begin at 11am with the locals kicking off around 1 pm.

Entertainment

The day has something for everyone with free children’s rides, show bags, a magic show, face painting and competitions for the kids. 

With $2000 in prize money and Alliance Airflights at stake, the main non race day features are “Fashions on the Field” and “ Mr Outback”. These popular events are a highlight of the day and the titles are always hotly contested by locals and visitors alike.

Food and drink

Food is available from both the BBQ area and the pie pasty sandwich and cake stall and other single caterers.

Liquid refreshments are supplied from the public bar and from the member’s bar.

Punting

Punters are catered for by four on course bookmakers, tote facility, Sky Cchannel and races broadcast from over Australia.

Post-race entertainment

The day is finished off at the Community Club or the Roxby Downs Tavern.

Club Membership - $25 per person includes entry to the Cup and access to members bar.
