The racetrack is a well-oiled dirt track and maintained in excellent condition with an inside training track. Horse Trainers also have access to a beach near by to train their horses on. The racecourse is in full view from the well lawned public area allowing all of the racing action to be seen by onlookers. There are currently two resident trainers that lease land and have stables set up for training horses, there is room for further expansion of on course trainers. The course has a resident caretaker to ensure the facilities are well maintained and in order. The Ceduna Racing club has currently been racing at its current location for the last 16 years; the course was constructed by local people on a voluntary basis and has proved very successful. The clubs visions is to increase awareness and growth of our Country racing industry, in particular, on the Eyre Peninsula, by providing racing action, spectator friendly entertainment and services which could link our neighbouring race clubs Tourist Attractions: April - Sailing/Queen of the Gulf Regatta, June - Ceduna Golf Open, June - Ceduna Centenary Celebrations, September - Ceduna Show, September - Ceduna Oyster Festival (Oysterfest).
