Apprentices set to represent SA

The National Apprentice Series kicks off this weekend in Launceston and Anna Jordsjo and Dylan Caboche will be flying the flag for SA in the first Heat in Tasmania.

Race Four will be the Apprentice Series race and Jordsjo is set to ride Olly's A Star for Alana Fulton while Caboche will ride Tambro's Game from the Steven Davis yard.

Caboche and Jorsdjo are both set to have four rides across the Launceston card which features the Listed Tasmanian Oaks and the Group 3 Vamos Stakes in which the Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas trained Gogo Grace will run, with Dean Yendall in the saddle.

After the Tasmanian leg, the Apprentice Series then heads around the country with heats in Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and then the final race in Western Australia on 11 April.

Jockeys will receive 7 points for a win, 5 points for second, 3 points for third, 2 points for fourth and 1 point for an unplaced ride, with all the points being tallied at the end and the winning state crowned the champions in the Series Final at Ascot.
